2nd Roar [Voice/Action] More like a Whimper

[Ever since his arrival to Luceti Simba has been plagued with occasional nightmares. However, lately they've been getting worse and more frequent. In House 45, some whimpering and moaning can be heard from where Simba usually sleeps on the floor. His legs twitch as if he's running in his dreams, and eventually wakes up screaming.]

NOOOOOOOO!

[He looks around in a panic, ears plastered against his head as he pants. Eventually he realizes where he has and starts to calm down. Using a paw to brush some tears away, his eyes then fall on his nearby journal. Needing someone to talk to, he pulls it over and opens it up. It's really early in the morning at this point and he's not sure if anyone will be awake but... he'll try anyway. He stammers a bit as he talks to the book.]

Is anyone there?

[Souji works graveyard shift at the Welcome Center so he's always up at this time. When he answers, he sounds cautious and concerned.]

Yes, don't worry, someone is here. What is the matter?

[If she could see him, she wouldn't reply. But all she knows is the young voice. A young voice in the middle of the night.

Well. She can't sleep anyway.]

Plenty of people keeping weird hours, probably.

[She can't sound concerned, after all. So she goes for "disinterested" instead. Or maybe it's more "bored."]

I'm here. [Woken up by the sound through the journal, but Simba sounds upset. It's fine, if she can be of some help.]

Would you like to talk awhile?

[Have another kid who's abruptly been woken up, although not due to nightmares or anything of the sort.]

M'here...

[That probably came out sounding more tired than it intended, but he'll make the effort to talk anyway. Whoever was on the other end, they sound a little upset...]

[Typically, Aang keeps himself to a tight, early-to-bed, early-to-rise sleeping schedule. But even the most practiced of monks can have some hiccups in their sleeping schedule. In the past, it has primarily happened through nightmares. But on this occasion, it is his bunkmate and past life Roku's snoring that snaps Aang out his sleep. He makes a brief check of the journal when he finds Simba's message, and he answers in a quiet, groggy voice.]

Mmm... Simba, izzat you? [Blink. Eyes adjusting to the journal.] You okay, buddy?

[Loki isn't nearly so good at ignoring sounds of distress when they obviously come from someone very young. It touches on things he'd rather not think of. And it's even more difficult when it's late at night and he's feeling a bit frayed himself.]

[Well, Sora's definitely woken up by that. He instantly falls out of his bed and turns to his journal. Wait, he knew that voice. Getting on the journal, Sora starts talking.]

Simba? Is everything okay?

Oh, you're gonna find a lot of night owls, kid.

[It sounds like a (human) kid to him - and Sanji can't tell the difference either, being preoccupied with making a mug of tea]

[ Although slightly more ungodly than some people like, because Ikki is nothing if not an early bird. She checks the journals religiously when she's up, and finds Simba's post after getting dressed and sorting out breakfast.

It's a little worrying. ]

Hello? Are you okay?

[Spock was finishing up another failed attempt at meditation when the yell came through his journal...Curious, that sounded like Simba....]

I am indeed here. Are you well?
