2nd Roar [Voice/Action] More like a Whimper

[Ever since his arrival to Luceti Simba has been plagued with occasional nightmares. However, lately they've been getting worse and more frequent. In House 45, some whimpering and moaning can be heard from where Simba usually sleeps on the floor. His legs twitch as if he's running in his dreams, and eventually wakes up screaming.]

NOOOOOOOO!

[He looks around in a panic, ears plastered against his head as he pants. Eventually he realizes where he has and starts to calm down. Using a paw to brush some tears away, his eyes then fall on his nearby journal. Needing someone to talk to, he pulls it over and opens it up. It's really early in the morning at this point and he's not sure if anyone will be awake but... he'll try anyway. He stammers a bit as he talks to the book.]

Oh, you're gonna find a lot of night owls, kid.

[It sounds like a (human) kid to him - and Sanji can't tell the difference either, being preoccupied with making a mug of tea]

[Voice]

[That's such a weird saying to him. Aren't all owls supposed to be around at night? Whoever heard of a day owl?]

Oh, well I guess that's good.

[Makes it a little less lonely when he can't sleep anyway.]

Yeah, it can be.

... Take it you can't sleep?

Y-yeah... I had a bad dream.

[Voice]

[Aw, poor kid. Sanji makes a sympathetic noise because that is definitely a feeling he understands]

Feel up to sharing, or are you looking for a distraction?

[Voice]

I dunno. I guess I just wanted someone to talk to.

[Voice]

What's your name?

[He... knew a Simba, but one that sounded a lot older than this]

Uh, my name's Sanji. [he rushes through the introduction] You new here, kid?

[Voice]

Not really, I've been here for a while now.

[Two months is a long time for a cub that's not even a year old yet!]

[Voice]

[Having been in Luceti three years, Sanji takes that answer the wrong way - maybe it is the Simba he's familiar with, but just aged down thanks to the Malnosso's usual shenanigans.

Whatever the case, Sanji's tone turns light and friendly]

Well then, Simba, you must be an expert on this place by now.

[Voice]

Not really. There's a lot I still don't understand. And the human things are still... weird. But I'm getting use to it.

[Voice]

Hooo? Is that right?

If you're not a human, then what are you?

[Voice]
