2nd Roar [Voice/Action] More like a Whimper

[Ever since his arrival to Luceti Simba has been plagued with occasional nightmares. However, lately they've been getting worse and more frequent. In House 45, some whimpering and moaning can be heard from where Simba usually sleeps on the floor. His legs twitch as if he's running in his dreams, and eventually wakes up screaming.]

NOOOOOOOO!

[He looks around in a panic, ears plastered against his head as he pants. Eventually he realizes where he has and starts to calm down. Using a paw to brush some tears away, his eyes then fall on his nearby journal. Needing someone to talk to, he pulls it over and opens it up. It's really early in the morning at this point and he's not sure if anyone will be awake but... he'll try anyway. He stammers a bit as he talks to the book.]

Is anyone there?

[That sounds kinda like where he's from. Minus the whole little girls and flying bison thing. But there were all sorts of animals around. So he keeps listening.]

For a long time the land was peaceful and happy - until one day when the sun fell out of the sky!

[ She's totally getting into it now. ...Even more so. ]

It turns out? Some really bad guy knocked it down! Because he didn't want anyone to have the happy days they'd been sharing any longer.

Well that's pretty dumb, and kinda mean.

[Simba notes this with a pout. Why would anyone want to do something stupid like that?]

[breezing]

It is!!! And one of the cats - a boy! - and one of the little girls decided that was SILLY and they were going to fix it! So they went on a quest...

[Oh a quest... that sounds really cool! Now Simba is listening rather intently.]

[breezing]

So the girl and the cat left their home - they lived in the center of the land, waaaaaay up high! - and went around to find out what had happened. No one knew why the sun had fallen, you see, except the evil bad guy who knocked it down!

Did they find it?

[Simba's voice is clearly one of interest.]

[breezing]

The sun? Well, it turned out it had fallen into the sea!

What's a ... sea?

[breezing]

[ ...There are people who don't know what the sea is? She...grew up on an island, so uh. ]

It's a reaaaaaaaaaaaaaally big lake that all the land floats on!

[pantheraleo]

Whoa... so kinda like a really big water hole, huh?

[breezing]

There are holes in the water where you live?

[pantheraleo]

Huh? No no, it's a hole... with water in it.

[Yeah.]

[breezing]

[ ...that's less interesting. 8| ]

...Well, anyway, I guess it is a really big water hole! So they had to find a way to get it out.

[OH WELL.]

How they gonna do that?

[breezing]

They have to learn to breathe underwater!!!!

[ OBVIOUSLY. ]

No way! That's so cool!

[ her storytelling skills involve making stuff up on the spot and a meandering and loose plot, so ]

Yeah! So they had to go to the beach - which is where the water meets the land! - and talk to the fish who went there, trying to find someone to teach them!

Wow. Did they find someone?

[breezing]

Yeah! They found the prince of the starfishes, Petunia the Gallant!

[This is getting good.]

What happened next?

[breezing]

Well, the little girl and the talking cat asked Petunia if he could help them!! He said he would - IF they proved their worth to him!

So the cat and the little girl talked about it, and decided they would take his test! It was a test NO ONE had ever passed before!
