1st Roar [Action/Video]
[The last thing Simba had known, he was in the desert, newly exiled from the Pridelands. He had wandered for what felt like forever before passing out from sheer exhaustion and dehydration. Now, he was slumped on the rooftop of Luceti's schoolhouse, snoozing away with his journal acting as a pillow. Eventually the cub began to stir, and as he did so, leaned to far to the side.
He was suddenly wide awake as the little lion began to tumble and roll down the side of the roof. Desperately trying to stop himself, Simba's claws scratched and scrabbled for purchase, taking some shingles with him as he went. The inevitable occured and he went sailing off the edge, with his claws finally hooking in, causing Simba to dangle several feet above the ground. His journal had fallen as well, hitting the ground in such a way that it came open and triggered the video feed.
Those watching the journals will have a ground view of the cub as he dangles from the school's roof.
Eyes wide in terror, Simba tries to get himself back up before he falls, but to no avail. Quickly his mind goes back to a recent incident where he clung to the spindly remains of a tree while wildebeest thundered past him. Tears spring to his eyes, for he knows his dad won't be there to rescue him this time. So he does the only thing he can think to do, and screams.]
HEEEEEEEELP!

HEEEEEEEELP!
[Voice]
More importantly, he needs help. A voice comes from the journal.]
Are you alright?! Where are you? I can come to help.
I don't know!
[And really he doesn't... he has no clue where he is.]
Who are you? Where are you?!
[Where is that voice coming from? And then his claws start to slip.]
Aaaagh, I'm slipping!
House 3. I've just left it. Are you in the village, or the forest or by the ocean?
I'm... not in a forest but, what's a village? Or an ocean?!
[Nope, never seen either.]
I'll explain once you're safe. Right now...
[She can think of one way to signal each other.]
How loudly can you yell? [Or... roar?]
I'M OVER HEEEEERE!
[This is followed by some pathetic "roaring" sounds.]
Keep going; so I can be sure I hear you and come the right way.
HEEEELP! I CAN'T HANG ON MUCH LONGER!
[ACTION]
Oh. That's pretty high up. But if he really can't hold on much longer-]
I could catch you. Or I can come up there.
[ACTION]
I... I don't know! I-
[But his mind is soon made up for him as he starts to slip again, loses his grip, and then plummets.]
AAAAH!
[ACTION]
There's only one thing left to do; Ami dashes forward to be in the right spot to catch Simba. Please let him be alright. The poor cub must be so scared.]
Are you alright?!
[ACTION]
I... think so.
[ACTION]
Thank goodness! [She bends down to place Simba gently on the ground - and can't resist trying to pat his head.]
[ACTION]
Um... thanks.
[And as he looks around, he grows more puzzled.]
Where am I?
[ACTION]
This place is called Luceti. It's a village where a lot of people, and animals, have been brought.
[ACTION]
[Simba looks around again, but doesn't seem especially alarmed by this information.]
Re: [ACTION]
The people here are often very willing to help each other.
[ACTION]
[Simba's eyes look down, sounding and looking a bit distant now that he's actually somewhat calm and out of danger.]
[ACTION]
They'll help you, too.
[ACTION]
[He doesn't sound terribly convince or thrilled. After all, nobody could really help him.]
[ACTION]
[This is the very, very indirect way of hinting at the fact he won't be going home in the next few minutes.
... Or hours.
...days...
...weeks...]
[ACTION]
Oh, okay.
[The idea that he wasn't leaving any time soon didn't bother him. He couldn't and didn't want to go back anyway.]
[ACTION]
This might seem a little strange to ask, when we've just met, but is everything alright? [She's rarely seen newcomers so... flat.]
