1st Roar [Action/Video]
[The last thing Simba had known, he was in the desert, newly exiled from the Pridelands. He had wandered for what felt like forever before passing out from sheer exhaustion and dehydration. Now, he was slumped on the rooftop of Luceti's schoolhouse, snoozing away with his journal acting as a pillow. Eventually the cub began to stir, and as he did so, leaned to far to the side.
He was suddenly wide awake as the little lion began to tumble and roll down the side of the roof. Desperately trying to stop himself, Simba's claws scratched and scrabbled for purchase, taking some shingles with him as he went. The inevitable occured and he went sailing off the edge, with his claws finally hooking in, causing Simba to dangle several feet above the ground. His journal had fallen as well, hitting the ground in such a way that it came open and triggered the video feed.
Those watching the journals will have a ground view of the cub as he dangles from the school's roof.
Eyes wide in terror, Simba tries to get himself back up before he falls, but to no avail. Quickly his mind goes back to a recent incident where he clung to the spindly remains of a tree while wildebeest thundered past him. Tears spring to his eyes, for he knows his dad won't be there to rescue him this time. So he does the only thing he can think to do, and screams.]

HEEEEEEEELP!
[Action]
I've got you, little one.
[Action]
He's then grabbed by the scruff and instinctively tucks his feet, as if he was being carried by his mom.]
Um... thanks.
[Action]
But Miyabi brings the...rather strange and quite large kitty close to her, holding him in her arms as she nimbly hops down the tree she made. She'll have to cut it down later, but for now, tending to the little animal here is what's important.]
It was nothing, are you hurt? How did you get up there?
[Action]
I'm okay. And... I'm not really sure. I woke up when I started rolling down the uh... um.
[Just what had he been on anyway?]
[Action]
O-Oh...the school roof. Mm, I see. [This is going to be hard.] Well, I'm glad that you're not hurt at all, kitty.
[Action]
[He looks around but doesn't seem especially alarmed to be in such an unknown place. He had been trying to get away after all.]
[Action]
Mm...this place is called Luceti. And my name is Miyabi.
[Action]
[He puts a paw to his chest as introductions are made.]
I'm Simba.
[Action]
It's very nice to meet you, Simba. Would you like me to guide you around here? I think it's...quite a bit different than anything you may be used to.
[Action]
Sure! Yeah, I've never been to a place like this before.
[Action]
[Miyabi walks as she talks, thinking it'd be best to take Simba to the Welcome Center first. The people there can take care of him at least until he finds someone to stay with an take care of him. Plus, they can probably clue him in on the greater evils of Luceti as well. Until then, she'll try to keep it calm and simple.]
[Action]
[He says the former with a bit of a sad smile. He just follows along, not having any idea where they were going, but he's okay with that.]
[Action]
...I'm guessing you don't have tigers in your world? The Pridelands? They're rare where I'm from, too, but every now and again they show up, in some places. Are there many of you? Uhm...lions?
[Action]
Well... yeah. We live together in a group called a pride.
[He sighs a little. He -use- to live with them.]
[Action]
Oh, that's so different from the wild cats I know... They live by themselves. Did you have any brothers or sisters?
[Action]
[Simba continues to look around as they walk along, taking in all the tall, strange structures.]
[Action]
Your home sounds amazing, Simba. I've heard of almost any of those animals before. We don't have many where I'm from, because it's always very cold, and there are big, scary monsters that can easily gobble them up, too. [She looks over at the little guy, noticing how he's looking around, so much like a curious little child. It's really cute.]
...I don't supposed you can read, can you?
[Action]
[Simba doesn't really know what it's like to be in a cold place. Never seen snow or any of that. Winter will be... interesting for him.]
Read?
[Action]
Yes, read. It's a thing many of the people - people like me - can do. There's a Guide in the journal we're all given that details everything you really need to know about Luceti. It's...really useful. Maybe once we get to the Welcome Center, some of the staff can read it out loud to you.
[A messy trainwreck, but...yeah. He needs to find out eventually. Poor thing.] If you have any other questions, I'd be happy to answer them myself right now.
Re: [Action]
[He guesses that would be helpful, but kinda just shrugs it off. Really his only needs are food, water, and shelter. Plus it doesn't matter a whole lot to him if he knows much about this place or not. He's not especially concerned about being somewhere he's unfamiliar with... yet anyway.
Other questions hm? He has to think about that.]
What was that thing I was on?
