Setting:
Simba comes from a patch of the Serengeti in Africa known as the Pridelands. It's a large expanse of fertile land surrounded be swathes of wilderness where many animals live in peace and harmony with the others around them. This land is ruled by a lion pride, known as the Pridelanders. The pride having a single king, queen, and other members that are mostly lionesses. The pride was ruled by King Mufasa until his untimely death at the paws of his brother, Scar. Mufasa was a benevolent king that ruled in all the traditions of his pride, including the preservation of the Circle of Life. Which is the cycle of nature where lions eat antelope, and when lions die their bodies become the grass, and the antelope eat the grass, etc. This is the natural order and balance that the ruling pride strives to maintain. With his Queen, Sarabi, Mufasa had a son, Simba. Simba being the prince and heir to the kingdom with Nala, another pride cub, being his betrothed and the future Queen. The pride lives in the center of the lands within a rock structure known as Pride Rock. This is where the pride lives, rules, and performs ceremonies such as coronations of kings and presentations of heirs. While the lions are at the top of the food chain, the other animals respect and recognize the lions as the rulers of the lands. Even showing up at aforementioned ceremonies to pay homage. The pride also employs other animals to help with ruling the lands. An example of this being Zazu the hornbill, who serves as the Majordomo and assistant to the royal family.

Unfortunately, Scar decided that he would make a better king and usurped the throne by murdering Mufasa. Also having enlisted a pack of hyenas that lived just beyond the border of the Pridelands in the Elephant Graveyard. Because of the hyena's destructive nature, they were kept out of the Pridelands by the lions where they have few resources and food to survive. Since both Scar and the hyenas were unhappy with their situations, they easily made an alliance. Scar bringing the hyenas into the Pridelands upon becoming king, which would eventually lead the Pridelands to ruin due to the desruption of the Circle of Life with overhunting. Simba himself was forced into exile upon the death of his father, having believed that it was his fault his father perished, thanks to the deception of his Uncle Scar.

Along with the keeping of the Circle of Life, the lions have other lore. Particularly regarding the Great Kings of the past which are said to be in the stars, watching over them. Later in life Simba would find this to be true as his deceased father appears in the sky and speaks to him.

One other notable thing about this world is that humans don't exist, so Simba doesn't know what they are.

Personality:
When it comes down to it, Simba is only four months old and is just a kid. He's still learning and growing, and likes to have fun. Naive, impressionable, and easily influenced are traits that are still a part of him since he hasn't had enough experience in the world yet to be otherwise. Despite that, there are things that still make Simba who he is. Though there is still plenty of time to shape and mould his character.

Born into the royal family of the Pridelands, and as the heir to his father's throne, Simba is a very well off cub. He has a loving family, and a kingdom that respects and adores him. So it's no wonder that he comes to think a bit highly of himself. Even to the point that he's a bit arrogant as he has often enjoyed pointing out that he's the future king. He was very proud of who he is and couldn't wait to grow up and become king. Partly because he wanted to boss other animals around, and mostly because he wanted to be just like his dad. Simba respects and looks up to his father, Mufasa, and holds him in high regard. Of his parents, he's definitely closest to his father and wants to learn everything he can from him and make him proud. Thus he becomes very indignant and pouty when his dad goes off to do business or dangerous things and won't let him come along. Thinking that he's brave enough to go to. In fact, Simba often tried to prove himself, even to the point of putting himself and his best friend in danger for the sake of adventure. He's haughty and a show off, but is mostly talk as he claims to 'laugh in the face of danger'. Yet when confronted with actual danger, such as the hyenas, he's clearly very afraid. Only trying to be brave when he's cornered and really doesn't have any other choice but to try and fight back. When his father comes to their rescue and reprimands him, Simba is mortified when faced with the reality that he's upset and angered his father. But it is in times like these that Simba learns his hardest lessons, and those that stick with him the longest. For despite his arrogance and other flaws, Simba is good at heart and has the makings to be a great leader one day. Having been taught well by his father.

The two most important lionesses in Simba's life are his mother, Sarabi, and his best friend Nala. Simba loves and respects his mother, but as most youngsters do, has lied to her in order to get into mischief. Nala on the other hand is the only other cub in the pride, and is Simba's main playmate. The two often roughhousing and getting into trouble together. He cares a lot about Nala, but is grossed out at the fact that he is expected to marry her one day. She's his friend after all, he can't marry her! It would be so weird! Still he cares about her, and even tries to protect her from the hyenas. Simba also has a bit of a lack of respect for authority, at least authority that isn't his father, as often shown with Zazu. Zazu was charged with watching him, but he and Nala would give him the slip in order to do what they wanted to do. Knowing full well that they're not supposed to. Then there's his Uncle Scar, who Simba also looks up to. Due to his naive nature, Simba wasn't able to see the hostility in his uncle and was easily deceived by him on more than one occasion. After all, it was Scar talked Simba into visiting the Elephant Graveyard with the intention of getting him killed, and the one who deceived him into thinking that he had killed his father.

Everything changed for Simba on that fateful day when his father was killed. Traumatized by the death of his father, and then lied to so that he believed it was his fault, Simba was convinced to run away and never return. What would his mother think when she knew? Afraid and his confidence completely shattered, Simba fled, after being chased by hyenas. Left to wander around the desert with no where to go. This is the point that Simba appears in Keeliai. Depressed, grieving, and not really caring what happens to him.

In-Character Samples:
Third Person (Prose):
Getting around Keeliai was a pain and no small matter for a little lion cub. Simba had never been in a place that was so... busy. Sure there were large animals around where he was from, and they were a lot bigger than Kedan or Humans. But the animals in the Pridelands weren't this tightly packed into such small spaces like this. Walking through the streets, Simba had to dodge the feet of people who weren't looking where they were going. Not that he wasn't capable of it, in fact he's very agile and manages to weave around people's legs with ease most of the time. But as he curiously explored into some of the more busier areas of Central, he had some problems. Especially when a man managed to step on his tail. Simba let out a loud yowl, starting the man and other Kedan around him.

"HEY! Watch where you're walking!" he shouted up at the Kedan, who just stared down at him in stunned silence. Because an animal was talking to him? But then the guy managed to catch sight of the soul gem at his neck and muttered an apology before moving on.

Simba then huffed indignantly and went on his way. But not long after the incident he caught a wiff of something. The cub paused to sniff at the air. It smelled... really, REALLY good. Following his nose, he continued through the streets until the odor got stronger and he could tell where it was coming from. A street cart that was selling food. And not just any food, but meat. Lots and lots of meat, cooked in various ways. Simba's eyes widened and his mouth watered. His stomach also growled right on cue. So he marched right up to the cart and looked up at the man who was stationed behind it, and pawed at his leg.

"Uh... excuse me, could I have some of that?"

Again Simba was met with much the same reaction as before, a blank stare until the gem was noticed. Kedan sure are rude.

"Got any juulan?" the Kedan then asked, to which Simba just gave a puzzled look. "Juulan?" "No juulan, no meat."

Simba was stunned, as the concept of currency was completely foreign to him. He then stuck his lip out in a pout and huffed once more before stalking off. But after only going a few paces he stopped and looked back. He was really hungry, as his stomach so graciously reminded him. And a mischevious grin appeared on his muzzle. He didn't need juulan, he would get that meat one way or another. Even if he had to steal it.

Network:
[Those on the network would see something odd today. It first starts out as a typed message.]

sjkghehwiosddkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk fkjesilerg o ojfj pppppppppppppppppppp ?

[Then it later comes as a video. The camera not showing anything at first. Only a voice being heard.]

Is it working? I still don't get this. It's so weird.

[There's then a flash of a tufted tail, and then a giant face and eyeball as it appears in the camera. If one looks carefully enough they'll realize it's a cat. Or more accturately, a lion cub.]
